メイクアップ用ファンデーションを専門に扱うブランドの店舗。ハリウッドのメイクアップアーティストが使用し、30色もの種類と高い品質を誇るこのブランドにとって初出店となる店舗で、基礎化粧品専門店としての慎み深さと華やかさを兼ね備えたデザインが要求された。
正面をステンレスのゲートに縁どられた巾5.26m／奥行13.18mの縦長のインテリアは、奥行きを4段階に分け、手前から商品展示スペース、メイクアップスペース、応接スペース、オフィススペースとしている。
店内の仕上げ材料は2色の床タイルと仕上げを変えたガラス。他は基本的に白で統一し、ファンデーションの微妙な色を強調するべく、抑制した雰囲気を基調とした。
間仕切に使用したガラスの箱と鏡は、空間に透明感と奥行きを与え、インテリアを斜めに貫くベージュ色の床の帯が室内に動きをもたらしている。
巾3mの帯の両脇に残された濃灰色の床／大小さまざまな形状の「残余部分」は、ギャラリー兼通路／スタッフ動線など、機能面でも特定の目的に集約されない「積極的な残余」として考えられている。

A flagship store for a brand that specializes in foundations for makeup. This is the first store for this brand, which is used by Hollywood makeup artists and boasts 30 different colors and high quality. The store required a design that combines the modesty and glamour of a store specializing in basic cosmetics.
The 5.26m wide by 13.18m deep vertical interior, bordered by a stainless steel gate in front, is divided into four levels of depth, from front to back: product display space, make-up space, reception space, and office space.
The store's finishing materials are floor tiles in two colors and glass with different finishes. The rest of the store is basically white, with a restrained atmosphere to emphasize the subtle colors of the foundation.
Glass boxes and mirrors used for partitions add transparency and depth to the space, and a beige floor strip running diagonally through the interior brings movement to the room.
The dark-gray flooring/variously shaped "residual areas" left on either side of the 3-meter-wide strip are considered as "active residuals" that are not concentrated on a specific purpose in terms of function, such as a gallery/pathway/staff flow line.
